25th Anniversary Seminar and Celebration – March 4th & 5th 2022

Shinjinkan Dojo, led by Michael Black Sensei, has been serving Houston for more than 25 years. February 4th was the 25th anniversary of our dojo. So we want to celebrate this milestone with you! We invite you to what is sure to be an exciting 2-day Aikido Seminar that will finish with a fun filled bash!

This will be an in-person and virtual event!

Lisa Tomoleoni Sensei spent over 14 years in Japan training at the Aikido World Headquarters and teaching Aikido professionally at a dojo in Tokyo. She founded Abiding Spirit Aikikai in IL, and Aikido Shimbokukai, an organization Officially Recognized by the Aikikai Foundation and Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.Michael Black Sensei has spent a lifetime in martial arts. Over the last 40+ years, he has earned Dan ranks in multiple martial arts. Michael started his Aikido journey under BJ Carlisle, and achieved Shodan under the late Fumio Toyoda Shihan and with his blessing founded Shinjinkan Dojo 25 years ago.

6-8pm – Seminar
Saturday:
9:30am-12pm Seminar
1-3pm – Lunch break
3-5:30pm – Seminar
6-9pm – Celebration

In-Person/COVID Protocol

For our guests attending in-person, please be advised that masking is optional. We encourage you to take any precautions you feel are appropriate for you individually. We will be taking additional measures to increate air flow in the building, providing hand sanitizer and other typical measures to enhance the safety of all.

We ask that each participant fill out a liability waiver to participate in-person. That can be completed preferably online ahead of time here or in-person before the seminar.

Looking to join us for your Anniversary Seminar and Celebration, please select from one of the below options:

In-person seminar cost is $30 for Friday only, $75 for Saturday only, or $90 for both days.

Virtual attendee option: The cost for virtual attendees is $60 for the whole seminar.

Celebration is no charge, but donations are welcomed and appreciated.
